This study presents an assessment of the association between the family structure and fertility among the Muslims of the three Asian countries namely- India, Bangladesh and Indonesia, primarily from the evidence of the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS). The bi-variate as well as the multivariate analysis of the DHS data shows that there is significant difference between the fertility behavior of women living in different family structures. It shows that nuclear families are positively associated with fertility for Muslims of each selected country.
